Primary Focus & Experience

David joined Newburg CPA in 1994 and is responsible for the Tax Compliance and Valuation divisions within the firm. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, David has progressive and diversified tax, accounting, and management advisory experience. David’s tax experience entails working with privately held businesses of all sizes and structure. The diversity of his clientele covers everything from entrepreneurs engaged with start-up opportunities to middle market multi-state and international businesses. David provides his clients with a refreshingly proactive approach in getting to know their needs and arming them with the resources they need to prosper. In addition, David works closely with executives to provide ongoing stock option planning and tax consulting.

David has helped expand the firm’s agility within the valuation and due diligence space. David is a Certified Valuation Analyst and firm wide resource in areas such as business acquisitions and due diligence. David is a member of NACVA (National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts) and has met the Association’s rigorous standards of professionalism, expertise, objectivity and integrity in the field of business valuation, litigation support, and related consulting disciplines. David has developed the firm’s valuation practice to deliver practical and comprehensive valuation reports through cutting-edge technology and advanced market resources. His valuation guidance not only aids businesses with their day to day operations, but also provides valuations for seller/acquisition needs, estate & gift, divorce and succession planning. Further, David is involved with our expanding due diligence practice providing resources for both buyers and sellers.

David has also championed many firmwide technical articles covering areas such as R&D tax credits, navigating nexus, business valuation, and management advisory.

Over the years, David has developed specialization in industries that include real estate, construction, wholesale/distribution, manufacturing, retail, restaurant/hospitality, professional service and high-tech companies.
