We have an outstanding opportunity for an Executive Assistant to join our dynamic firm. The Executive Assistant (EA) would perform administrative duties for the Assurance and Tax Partners and assist the Business Development Manager with marketing initiatives. At Newburg & Company, LLP the Executive Assistant position is a career not a job. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter that takes initiative and works great in a team environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Administrative duties including calendar and phone management as well as proofing copy
  • Support for Partner e-mail responses and client follow-up
  • Preparation of correspondence/spreadsheets for clients; monitoring project deadlines and providing summaries to expedite client projects
  • Assistance with the planning of marketing activities, marketing database, client mailings and marketing material
  • Maintenance of website content/updates for firm’s electronic communications/marketing, which includes assisting with the firm Newsletter process and other client communications
  • Working knowledge of CRM software, which includes updating, maintaining accuracy of information, and yearly review with other departments to ensure database is current
  • Organizing conference logistics and presentations
  • Proactively assisting Partners and Business Development Manager to ensure projects are on track and meet due dates
  • Handling sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Special projects as assigned by Managing Partner and Partners
  • Being a liaison for Partners’ office with employees and clients
  • Assisting Partners with keeping up-to-date on CPE’s/education
  • Providing back-up to Administrative team on an as needed basis


  • Bachelor’s (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Office: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Administrative Experience: 5 years (Preferred)
  • US work authorization (Preferred)

  • Ability to ask questions when uncertainties arise
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an attention to detail
  • Able to deal with tight deadlines, multiple priorities, and stressful situations as part of working for a CPA firm
  • Self-motivated
  • Willingness to contribute new ideas and suggestions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Minimum five years’ executive assistant experience, Bachelor’s Degree
  • Prior professional services experience a plus but not required
  • Hours are May – Aug reduced summer work hours, Sept – Dec: Full time (40 hrs. minimum), Jan – Apr: Full time (50 hrs. minimum) Monday through Saturday
