The MA Department of Revenue (DOR) requires that certain tax returns, informational filings and payments be made electronically.
The DOR is no longer accepting paper (i.e. via check) Fiduciary Income Tax estimated tax payments. Going forward, filing a tax return, informational filing or estimated payment that is not in compliance with the DOR’s electronic filing requirements, will result in a $100 penalty.
Electronic Payments
To avoid any penalties and make estimated tax payments electronically, the DOR requires that payments be submitted electronically through MassTaxConnect.  The site requests that you create a username and password to access your account information and make payments accordingly. Through your MassTaxConnect account you can make one – time payments or schedule your quarterly estimates to be paid automatically. We will be happy to assist with creating an account on your behalf, and provide you your username and password to login and pay through the MassTaxConnect account.
