Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leading our accounting service department initiatives to further automate and streamline client monthly financial reporting packages looking to provide not only accurate reporting but also outside controller/CFO advisory services. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the Accounting Services/Bookkeeping department
  • Reviewing and continually enhancing client deliverables and monthly/quarterly reporting packages
  • Managing department projects, budgets, deliverable deadlines, and ensuring cross-communication with other departments within the firm
  • Working collaboratively with client development team to onboard new accounting service clients
  • Working with management and partner team to further collaborative firm service offerings
  • Reporting directly to Partners/Directors

Requirements

  • Experience working in a variety of industries with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Enterprise and QuickBooks desktop versions
  • Bachelor’s degree in the accounting field and Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor
  • Strong analytical skills and controller reporting experience, including a firm understanding of the difference between Tax and GAAP basis accounting methods, along with working knowledge of sales/use tax reporting and income tax reporting
  • 5+ years Public Accounting industry experience
  • 4+ years’ experience supervising personnel and a department with a firm
  • Team player willing help with backlog of work if necessary
  • Ability to multi-task, working with team to assist several clients
  • Licensed CPA is a plus
